Making Educational Dreams Come True
Our HPF "Make Dreams Reality" scholarships for college or technical school help high-achieving, low-income students bridge the gap between available funding and the
additional costs of books, transportation or child care. Often it's this extra funding that makes higher education a reality for future leaders.

The Foundation presents an annual "Healthy Advances" award at the George Washington Carver Science Fair, to encourage urban youth to pursue science careers. A cash award goes to both the student and the student's school for the best health-related project.

Nourishing our Communities
Each year, HPF supplements food and other groceries donated by Health Partners employees for holiday food baskets. Food baskets are delivered by employees to disadvantaged families, and to community organizations working with families-in-need.

| Supporting Committed Organizations |
|
Many organizations are working hard to support the disadvantaged in our neighborhoods. The Foundation helps them succeed through small donations that often bridge the gap between funding sources. Among these groups are the Institute for Safe Families, the Dawn Staley Foundation, Mothers In Charge, Men United for a Safer Philadelphia, the Daniel Rumph II Foundation, African American Child Book Fair, Philabundance and United Children Against Negativity.
Encouraging Students through our Be There! Perfect Attendance Program
To help build successful life skills, each year hundreds of local high school students are recognized by the Be There! Program. Award certificates and gift cards for local merchants are available each grading period to students who achieved perfect attendance for that period at several area public schools. Students with perfect attendance for three out of four grading periods receive a special gift at an end of the year recognition program.
